Susan Kay Wright

Ms. Susan Kay Wright, 68, passed away Sunday, April 10 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Born in Olean, NY, Ms. Wright was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie Wright. She was a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in Political Science and English. She worked as an English teacher and real estate agent prior to becoming a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch in Lancaster, PA from which she retired after 20 years. She spent her retirement years in South Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law. Although Multiple Sclerosis limited her physically, Susan remained fiercely independent and leaves for her family and granddaughter many happy memories and valuable life lessons Surviving are a daughter Jennifer Nye Griffin and her husband Chris of Rock Hill, SC; one brother Arthur Wright of Storrs, CT; and one granddaughter Leslie Griffin also of Rock Hill, SC. Services for Ms. Wright will be private.
