Mrs. Sylvia Teague Galliher, 82, died on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center after a brief illness.
A graveside service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Unity Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Devinney officiating.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Teague and Mabel Evelyn Lewis Teague. She was born in Roan Mountain, Tennessee.
She worked for the Raytheon Corporation in Bristol, where she met her future husband, Elmer in 1959. They moved to Charlotte, NC in 1970 and were married for nearly 50 years. She owned her own janitorial business for over 30 years. She will be remembered as a dedicate Christian and she was a member of Westerly Hills Baptist Church, Fort Mill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Galliher.
She is survived by her son, Mitchel Galliher with who she lived; her daughter, Erica Dunbar; and granddaughter, Erin Dunbar of Fort Mill. She is also survived by her three sisters, Shirley Smith, Judith Propst and Roberta Herrin, all of Northeast Tennessee; and her brother, Zane Teague of Orlando, Florida; as well as three nephews and a niece.
