Terrie Hinson Lester

January 26, 1947 — May 29, 2011

Terrie Hinson Lester, died May 29, 2011 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Rock Hill, Terrie was born January 26, 1947 to the late William Floyd (Pee Wee) Hinson and Nellie Mason Hinson. Although Terrie retired after many years in the manufacturing industry her main focus of life was caring for her family and loved ones. She spent many years as caregiver for her mother, father and husband. Terrie was of the Baptist faith and attended West End Baptist Church and Cornerstone Baptist Church. Surviving are her brother Wayne Hinson and wife Carolyn of Rock Hill; two sisters Martha Couch and husband Joe, and Mavis Roach and husband Jim of Rock Hill; a sister-in-law Marcelle Faile also of Rock Hill. She was a second mom to her nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Howard Wayne Lester; her brother Billy Douglas Hinson and her nephew Billy Douglas Hinson, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and other times at 4672 Summerlin Place, Rock Hill. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday at Grandview Memorial Park on S Cherry Road in Rock Hill. Officiating will be Pastor Ron Roddey. Memorials may be made to either The National Kidney Foundation, 4819 Park Road, Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209; West End Baptist Church 1727 McConnells Highway, Rock Hill, SC 29732 or Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1054 John Street, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
