Terry Ann Castle

Terry D. Castle, age 65, died unexpectantly on August 5, 2021 in her home in Fort Mill, SC.

She is survived by her husband Ben Colson, daughter Kathy Castle Rogers (Travis), son David Castle (Jackie) and sister Laura Pollock (David).  She is survived by her step-children Brian Colson; Brenda Burnside (Duane) and Brad Colson (Michelle).  She is survived by seven grandchildren, Brody, Gabe, Mary Katherine, Ben, Elena, Emily and Jordan; as well as two grandpups, Khalisi and Captain.  She was preceded in death by her parents Lou and Ellen DeYampert.

Terry was born in Bethesda, MD.  She grew up in Plantation, FL and in lived in Coral Springs, FL before moving to the Carolinas.  She was a retired school teacher and had a passion for helping children learn.  She was an avid lover of all crafts and was always working on a project.  Her favorite things to make were cards and bookmarks in which she shared with all.  Terry never missed a holiday, birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion to send one of her cards to her family and friends.  All who received, treasured these cards.  She even passed out her bookmarks to strangers just to put a smile on their face.   Terry also loved all animals especially birds, butterflies and turtles.

Terry lived her life with faith, joy, love and grace.  She always had a smile on her face and never let an opportunity go by to say something kind.  She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and made sure her family knew how special they were to her.   Terry brought a special light into any room she was in, and she will be forever missed.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday August 14, 2021 at Palmetto Funeral home in Fort Mill, SC at 2pm.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Terry’s life.  The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and kind words as they deal with this sudden loss.
