Thelbert Alonzo "T.A." Swope

Thelbert Alonzo Swope, 93, of McConnells, South Carolina died on July 21st, 2018. "T.A." Swope, son of Joseph and Elsie Swope, loving life mate and husband of Telitha Swope for 62 years, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Tidy and children, Thelbert A. "Al" Swope, II (Debbie) of Cleveland, OH; Patricia L. Clonch (Pam) of Greer, SC; William A. Swope (Debra); and Joseph B. Swope, both of McConnells, SC. He was the loving grandfather of seven and cherished great-grandfather of seven. He served proudly as a Lieutenant in the US Navy in WWII as a pilot in training and in Korea aboard the USS Irwin. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of McConnells. The family will gather after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
