Thomas Everett Baker

Thomas Everett "Tommy" Baker, 64, of 2221 Ferris Street, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Baker was born December 9, 1944, a son of the late Everett Andrew and Margaret Elizabeth Pope Baker. He was a salesman in the construction industry, a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Surviving are two daughters Trudy Baker Hunter, Sunny Baker Tritt and her husband Jared W. Tritt all of Rock Hill; two sisters Linda Darleen Baker and Margaret Elaine Baker; two grandchildren Trenton M. Hunter and Pressley W. Mayo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Baker will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Burrell officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors provided by the V.F.W. Post 2889. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
