Thomas Wylie Nunnery

October 28, 1927 — August 15, 2012

Thomas Wylie Nunnery "Tuck", 84, died August 15, 2012 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice. A graveside service will be held at 10:40am Saturday August 18 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life in the church sanctuary at 11:00am with Rev. Dr. J. Allen Derrick officiating. Visitation will be at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home on Friday August 17 from 6-8pm. He was the son of Henry Grady Nunnery, Sr. and Genevieve Collins Nunnery. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Peggy Sue and brothers Jack, Henry Grady Nunnery, Jr. and Fred A. Nunnery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Mitchell Nunnery, daughters Nancy Simmons (Bill) of Morganton, NC and Judy Ott (Bob) of Marietta, GA, four grandchildren, April and Ashley Simmons, Katie and Christopher Ott, brother Sidney A. Nunnery (Barbara) and sisters-in-law, Annie Mitchell Nunnery and Carolyn Nunnery. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was employed by the International Harvester Company for 38 years. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as deacon and head usher. Memorials may be sent to Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Harmony Baptist Church, 5403 Harmony Church Rd., Edgemoor, SC 29712 or Wayne T. Patrick Hospice, P.O. Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29731.
