Thomas Joseph O'Brien

Thomas Joseph O'Brien III, age 49, died suddenly Thursday, July 7 at his Fort Mill, SC home. He was born in Medford, Massachusetts, son of Trudi Poldoian O'Brien and Thomas J. O'Brien II. Tom worked as a sales representative for Tom Johnson Camping World, Concord, NC.

Survivors include his sons, Thomas Joseph O'Brien IV and Alex Michael O'Brien; wife, Caroline Lamb O'Brien; brother, Scott Michael O'Brien and sister-in-law Lori O'Brien of Lilburn, GA; mother, Trudi Poldoian O'Brien of Ormond Beach, FL, and father, Thomas J. O'Brien II of Georgetown, MA.

A service to celebrate Tom's life will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Becky Shirley of Philadelphia United Methodist Church will officiate. Afterward, the family will receive friends at the home of Charles and Harriet Lehman.

Tom's legacy rests with the two little boys he adored. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to seed a high education fund for them would help ensure the future Tom dreamed for them. A Tom O'Brien Memorial Fund has been established online at gofundme.com/2dcrmv8.
