Thomas Eugene Reikowski, 66, of Indian Land, SC, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2013 after a courageous 16-month fight with pancreatic cancer. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM on August 28 at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road East, Fort Mill, SC 29715. The burial will be private. Tom was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 14, 1946. He attended St. Vincent de Paul grade school and graduated from Boys Tech High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee on a basketball scholarship and received a Bachelor of Arts in history. He then earned his Master of Business and Science degree from Cardinal Stritch University. Tom was married to Ruth Reikowski (Ley) on April 4, 1970. He worked in sales and marketing before retiring in 2012. He loved golfing, playing cards and spending time with his wife and family. Tom was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1987. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth, three children, Allyson Tribull and her husband Tom, Adam Reikowski, and Jacob Reikowski and his wife Susan; his six grandchildren Aerin, Patrick, Madison, Benjamin, Dylan and Emily; his 100-year-old mother, Valeria Reikowski; his sister, Anita Antes, sister-in-law, Kathy Reikowski, sister-in-law, Judy Curtis and her husband David, brother-in-law, Richard and his wife Barbara ; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends in Wisconsin, Foster City, CA, Charlotte and Sun City Carolina Lakes in Indian Land, SC. Tom is preceded in death by his father, Jerome Reikowski; as well as his brother, Joseph Reikowski.
