Timothy Richard Lawrence

Timothy Lawrence, age 52 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Tim was born in Hartford, WI on March 8, 1972 to the late Donald Lawrence and Cheryle Pohlman (Barg). The family moved the following year to Sheboygan, WI., where Tim lived into his adulthood. As a child, Tim was very inquisitive and creative; taking things apart and making new things. He was a generous kid and always tried to get people to laugh. He loved fishing, doing tricks on his bike and later, fast cars and heavy metal music. 

In 1998, Tim married the love of his life, Kimberly Blake in a big beautiful wedding; which was also the best party of the 90s. 

Tim and Kim were blessed with their first child, Jakob Oceans in 2003 whom they raised in Sheboygan until they moved to South Carolina in 2007. There they were blessed with another son, Joshua Storm in 2008. Tim’s children were truly his pride and joy; he loved his family fiercely. 

Tim worked as an auto technician for his entire adult life, becoming one of the nation’s top techs. He retired from Firestone of Rock Hill. 

Tim enjoyed working on cars and showing his boys the automotive ropes even in his off time. He had a lot of knowledge about a lot of things and was a mentor for anyone who wanted to learn. Tim also liked the water; swimming, fishing, boating as well as playing dice, riding his Harley, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. 

Tim will be greatly missed and is survived by his wife, Kim; children, Jakob (Skye), Joshua; siblings, Debbie and Michelle (Tony); Rob, Shawn, Kelly, Chad (Laurie) and Jeanine, stepfather, Don; in-laws, Cindy and Howard Davis, nieces and nephews; Ashley (Drew), Logan (Megan), Mikey, Alicia, Damien, Dustin, Corwin (Viviane), Zack, Jasmine Derek), Darien, Dezzy, Ayden, Opheila, Ivy, Colton and Rose, Andrew, Alex, Alyssa, Dino and Sophia as well as other cherished family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. with a service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, in the chapel of Bass Cauthen Funeral Home.

A celebration of Tim’s life will also take place later this year in Sheboygan, WI.
