Tommy Andrew Owings

ROCK HILL - Tommy Andrew Owings, 65, of 897 Eastwood Dr., died Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the Agape Nursing Center of Rock Hill.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2015, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Pastor Ron Roddey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the church.

Born in Rock Hill, Tommy is the son of the late Dale Alvin and Jessie Robinson Owings. He was retired from Aplix of Charlotte and a past employee of JP Stevens Industrial Mill of Rock Hill. He was a Deacon at Cornerstone Baptist Church and enjoyed riding his Harley and volunteering time for the VFW. He loved his family and always loved being with them.

He is survived by his wife; Linda Sistar Owings; a son, Kenneth Wayne Owings; two daughters, Sherrie Lynn Hunt and Tonda Kaye Owings; a brother, Gary "Pete" Owings; three sisters, Patsy Gray, Joannie Mosier, and Karen Owings; 4 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
