Turner Delano ("Joe") Loflin, age 85, died January 3, 2016. Born May 28, 1930 in Yadkin County, North Carolina, he was the oldest child of the late Joseph Hugh Loflin Sr. and Flossie Rupard Loflin. Mr. Loflin was an active gardener, enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a longtime mechanic. He loved pets of all kinds but the joy of his life was his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Jean Fudge Loflin, 2 sons Dane Turner (Rehna) Loflin of Rock Hill and Phillip Loflin of Salisbury, North Carolina. He is also survived by four daughters Joan Loflin (Jimmie) Holyfield of East Bend NC, Connie Loflin (Dan) Vestal of Jonesville, NC, Elaine Loflin (Bill) Moore of Atlanta Georgia and Joy Loflin (Dave) Perrotti of Oakland California. Surviving grandchildren include Frank and Robert Potts; Dane Loflin and Stacy Hargett, Vaughn and Olivia Moore. Great grandchildren Gabriella, Braxton and Misha Loflin. He is survived by 2 brothers, Junior and Bob Loflin of Courtney, NC, 2 sisters, Barbara Loflin of Mocksville NC and Charlotte (Dave) Miller of Courtney, NC. He was predeceased by a son, Sammy Hoyle Loflin and a sister, Pansy Loflin Furches. The service in his memory will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2016 at 1pm at The Loflin Family Cemetery in Yadkinville NC. Online condolences may be registered at www.basscares.com
