Vaughn Virgil Smith, 74, passed away on March 4, 2025, in York, S.C. He was born on October 9, 1950, in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late Virgil Herring Smith and Lynette Barr Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Herring Smith.
Vaughn was a hardworking and humorous man who loved Jesus and valued spending time with his family, creating sweet memories along the way. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla., he proudly worked as an electrician for 42 years. He was a member of IBEW and the Teamsters Local 947 Union. Vaughn enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, and cracking jokes to make others laugh.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving family members include the love of his life, his wife of 31 years, Belinda Jane Smith; three daughters: Lindsay Smith (Rylan Little), Christie (Terry) Fisher, and Vonda Kay (Randy) Wildes; eight grandchildren: Rylee Little, Ayden Little, Cameron Fisher, Connor Fisher, Carter Fisher, Kristin (Brian) Henderson, Dalton (Kerigan) Wildes, and Katelyn Wildes; and four great-grandchildren: Ansley, Kayden, Avery, and Coast. He is also survived by his sweet miniature Australian Shepherd, Bella.
