Vauncile Black Drawdy

Vauncile Black Drawdy, 81, of 3971 Highway 324, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Agape Rehab. A native of Great Falls, SC, Mrs. Drawdy was born May 6, 1928 a daughter of the late Thomas W. and Mamie Drawdy Black. She was retired from Ostrow Textiles and was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Leroy Drawdy, a son Thomas Drawdy and a great granddaughter Morgan Plott. She is survived by five daughters Theresa Platts, Deloras Melton and husband Ken, Sharon Ramsey and husband Alton, Sandy Thomas and husband Mike, Rhonda Drawdy and husband Bruce all of Rock Hill; two sons Lynn Drawdy and wife Sharon, Glynn Drawdy and wife Becky all of Rock Hill; two brothers Thomas and Ralph Black both of Great Falls; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Drawdy will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Reverend Daniel Smoak officiating.
