Vera Faye Mcsparin

Vera Faye McSparin, aged 92, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2024, in Rock Hill, SC. Born on August 10, 1932, formerly of Granite City, IL, she lived a full and vibrant life before her peaceful passing.

Vera was the beloved wife of Robert McSparin, with whom she shared 70 years of marriage. She was a loving mother to Richard McSparin (Barbara), Steven McSparin (Kathleen), and Martha Griffo (Jim). Her legacy extends to her 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Vera was preceded in death by her son Phillip Arthur, and her sisters, Ardith Platt and Linda Stroud. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Warner.

A long-standing member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 38 years, Vera was an active participant in the church choir, sharing her love for music and fellowship. Her hobbies included playing cards and reading.

A celebration of her life will be held on September 1, 2024, at 2 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1320 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Special Olympics , St. Jude , and Tunnels to Towers , supporting causes that were close to her heart.
