ROCK HILL - Vermell Catoe Alexander, of 1127 Steele St., passed away Saturday, October 4th at her home with her loving nieces and caregivers Kathy McConnell and Annie McCoy.

She was a native of Rock Hill for 77 years. The daughter of the late Orion Lee Catoe and Essie Elizabeth Tiller Catoe both of Rock Hill. She was retired from James River where she worked for 22 years.

She is survived by her niece, Kathy McConnell and her husband Frank McConnell of Rock Hill; Niece Annie McCoy; Nephew, Dean Sealey both of Lake Wylie, S.C.. She also had 6 grand children, Alexis, Jeremy, Trey, Douglas, Anna, Hailey. Her two sisters, Jean Catoe McCoy, Essie Catoe Starnes both of Rock Hill, S.C..

She is preceded in death by her companion of 30 years, Harvey Roach; three brothers, Creighton, Jack and Lee Catoe; three sisters, Margaret Catoe Leopard, Ruth Catoe Lucas, Betty Catoe Lear Martin.

Memorial services will be 6 PM Wednesday at Whitesell Funeral Home, with Chaplain James Lance officiating.
