Viola Elizabeth Hennessey

Vickie Elizabeth Hennessey passed away at her daughter's home on August 14 after a very short and courageous battle with cancer.

Vickie was born on June 27, 1935 in Ridgewood, NJ to Viola and John Dunne. After living in Bergen County, NJ for 32 years, she resided in Yardley, PA for 15 years. She and her husband Fred moved to River Hills, Lake Wylie, SC in 1982. They moved to the Four Seasons @ Fort Mill in 2006.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband Frederick and Brother James Dunne. She is survived by her daughter Colleen, sons Kevin (Nancy) and Tim (Maureen), grandchildren Lauren, Megan, Teddy, Kiernan, Harrison, Deirdre and Eva. She is also survived by her siblings Jake, Madeline, Billy, and Carol, and many nieces and nephews.

Vickie was known for being a very kind and thoughtful person with a great sense of humour. She was the consummate hostess and served in that role in her husband's business dealings. She loved being with her family and surrounded by people. She never met a stranger and she had an immense gift of gab.

Visitation will be at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill from 6pm to 8pm on Friday August 25. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill at 11a.m. on Saturday, August 26.
