Mrs. Virginia Grace Carroll Curley, 88, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at her residence. A native of Union City, NJ she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ida Carroll. Born on April 22, 1923 she was an office manager for a record company for many years before retiring. She was also an active member of the Silver Foxes, the Evening Department of Junior Women's Club and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas J. Curley, and a great-grandson Paul Alva Behr. Surviving are two daughters Virginia C. Birtcil of Inman, and Barbara C. Behr and her husband Paul of York; five grandchildren Carol Ann Birtcil of Inman, Thomas Joseph Behr and his wife Niki of Rock Hill, Michelle Behr of New Haven, CT, Steven Behr of Delhi, NY, and David Behr of Las Vegas, NV; and five great-grandchildren Monte and Jonathan Behr of Rock Hill, Kathryn and Sydney Kuhn of New Haven, CT, and John Thomas Behr of Colorado Spring, CO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 1:00pm in St. Anne's Catholic Church with Father Fabio Refosco officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Hackensack, NJ. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm in Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home on Thursday.
