Virginia "Ginny" Leigh Hanson

January 28, 1948 — April 20, 2020

On Monday April 20, 2020, Virginia "Ginny" Hanson, loving wife and mother of 4 children, passed away peacefully at her home in Tega Cay, SC and went to her heavenly home at age 72.

Ginny Hanson was born on January 28, 1948 in Flint, MI to Virgil and Reva (Kyle) Gee. She spent 25 years as a licensed beautician and then finished her career on earth serving our Lord for over 20 years in world missions at ABWE and Global Construction Ministries.

On April 2, 1977, she married Bill Hanson. Ginny had a passion for her family, grandkids and friends. She was committed to serving the Lord throughout her life and through her ministry she touched people globally with her desire to serve and care for others. She persevered through many challenges and held to the verse Joshua 1:9 "Haven't I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

She is survived by her Husband Bill of 43 years, her four children, Misti (Brent) Hall, Joe (Lisa) Hanson, Amber (Will) DeLavergne, and Tony (Jackie) Hanson, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.

A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC at 11 o'clock a.m. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the funeral home will be "Live-feeding" the service on their Facebook page Palmetto Funeral Group. Service to be officiated by one of her former pastors, Dr. Hayes Wicker.

In Lieu of Flowers, Ginny would have wanted donations sent to a mission's building project in Rwanda, Africa.
