Virginia Ruth Bratton Skipper

Rock Hill - Mrs. Virginia Ruth Bratton Skipper, 77, of 1215 Brittany Ridge Place, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Bible Baptist Church, 255 Highway 21 Bypass, Fort Mill, SC, with Rev. Jim Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

A native of Gaffney, SC, Mrs. Skipper was a daughter of the late Royce Park Bratton and Jessie Osment Peeler Bratton. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She retired from the Celanese Corporation after 40 years. She has been a member of Bible Baptist Church since 1997. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Skipper; a son, Billy Skipper; a daughter, Rhonda Coursey and her husband, Mark; a brother, Royce Bratton; a sister, Margie Dickson; and two grandchildren, David Coursey and Macee Coursey.
