Wade Hefner

ROCK HILL - Wade Wallace Hefner, 78, of 1641 Gordon Road, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at CMC of Charlotte.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, at the Lando Church of God, with Pastors Ed Harris and Bobby Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Lando Cemetery.

Born in Lando, Wade was the son of the late Hubert and Geneva Adams Hefner. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; who enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the squirrels, rabbits and birds. Wade, also, loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He was Gamecock Born and Gamecock Bred. For many years he was a member of Celriver Church of God, and later attended Leslie Church of God and Fort Mill Church of God. For the past twenty years, he has been a faithful member of Lando Church of God. Wade Hefner loved his church but most of all he loved the Lord. He exemplified the true meaning of living a Christian life.


He is survived by his wife, Amelia (Millie) Totherow Hefner; two sons, Larry Wade Hefner and Richard Kyle Hefner; two daughters, Vickie H. Roberts (Ronnie) and Angela Hefner Flynn (Shannon Flynn); one brother, Heyward H. Hefner (Pauline); seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Hefner.

He is also survived by:
Granddaughter - Jenna Roberts
Grandsons - Corey Hefner, Justin Hefner, Matthew Hefner, Jake Brehm, Dylan Brehm, Cole Brehm.
Great-Granddaughters - Ryleigh Hefner, Carolina Hefner

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Whitesell Funeral Home.
