Wanda Berry Suaso

Catawba – Mrs. Maggie Wanda Berry Suaso, 84, died Saturday, January 5, 2019, at her home.

A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, January 11, 2019, At Saint Anne’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at 3:00 pm at the Robert Davis Family Cemetery, Bishopville, SC. The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the church.

Born in Lee County, SC, and grew up in Ashwood, Mrs. Suaso was a daughter of the late Daniel Henry Berry and Maggie Malinda Davis Berry. She was a graduate of Ashwood Central High School. She was a member of Saint Anne Catholic Church of over 50 years, Saint Martha’s Circle, and an active member of the choir. She was a member of Woodmen of the World. She retired from Winthrop University.

Surviving are six children, Julian Eugene Suaso, Faith Valentina Suaso, Christopher Allan Suaso, John Daniel Suaso, Timothy Bryan Suaso, and Wanda Melinda Suaso Waldrop; a sister, Joye Berry Nesbitt; and 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Suaso, Katherine Adelina Coleman, Scott Julian Suaso, Ryland Suaso Offret, Samantha Marie Waldrop, Jamison Anthony Suaso, Christina Maria Suaso, and Christopher William Suaso. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian W. Suaso; son, Charles Antonio Suaso; and 12 siblings.
