Warren Thomas Ramsey Sr.

Warren Thomas "Slick" Ramsey, Sr., 79, of Edgemoor, SC passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014. Born in Lando, SC, Mr. Ramsey was the son of the late Wade and Nell Sims Ramsey. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Ramsey worked 42 ½ years at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing. He was a lifetime member of Chester Golf Course and a member of Heath Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Frances Jackson Ramsey and a daughter, Cindy Ramsey Simpson. He is survived by his son, Warren Thomas "Rusty" Ramsey, Jr. (Donna); 2 daughters, Tommie Lynn Ramsey Tomberlin (Wayne) and Kathy Ramsey Small (Eric) of Lancaster, SC; 6 grandchildren, Bessie T. Clark (David), Cindy L. Johnson (Rafael), John Ramsey Tomberlin, Warren Taylor Ramsey, Zachary H. Barton, and Madison Marie Ramsey; 3 great-grandchildren, Israel and Emmanuel Johnson and Phoenix Clark; Caregivers, Vanie Sefuku, Judy Houser, Ms. Patty, and Ms. Karena. A funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Heath Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Edgemoor A.R.P. Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday, June 16, 2014 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd. Rock Hill, SC 29730, and other times at the of Rusty and Donna, 1928 Nell Ramsey Rd. Edgemoor, SC 29712. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Richburg- Video Ministry.
