Wayne William Moon passed away on Monday, August 7,2023 at the age of 85, in Fort Mill South Carolina.
Wayne was born on July 5th, 1938. He grew up in Trenton, New Jersey, but called California home. Wayne would talk about making the multi day car drive from his hometown to California. He loved living in California for no longer having to shovel snow or bear the cold winter weather. He enjoyed driving down the pacific coast highway on a Sunday afternoon. During his time in California, he met his wife, Rose Moon, who passed away on October 29, 2020. They were married for over 30 years and shared one child. Wayne had one daughter and two grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with family by talking over a meal or watching a movie.
Wayne loved bowling, movies, and reading. In his early years, Wayne worked at a bowling alley and enjoyed bowling any chance he could. Wayne moved to Fort Mill South Carolina in 2018 to be closer to family and continued to bowl. He was in four leagues and continued to be an avid bowler!
Wayne loved movies and considered himself a movie buff. He enjoyed talking about movies with family and friends, along with trivia about actors/actresses, movies plots, and themes.
Beyond bowling and movies, he also enjoyed reading. When he wasn’t bowling or at the movies, he loved going to the library or a local bookstore to read or pick up a new biography to enjoy.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, his son in law, and two grandchildren. He is loved and will be missed greatly from hearing his jokes to talking about a new movie he saw to how his bowling game went.
