Wayne Windell Lowder

Columbia, SC – Mr. Wayne Windell Lowder, 73, passed on Sunday April 11, 2021 at the Brian Center Nursing Home in Seven Oaks, South Carolina

Arrangements are being made by the Whitesell Funeral Home in Rock Hill, South Carolina

Wayne was a native of Rock Hill, SC and was the son of the late Frank Lowder and Clara Deese Lowder.  He was a widower of the late Vivian Sanders Williford Lowder and they loved to dance.  Wayne served his country in the United  States Army . He will be remembered as an avid sports fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Clemson Tigers.

Surviving are his step-children Cheryl Smith and Connie Rooks, all of Rock Hill, SC; 11 grandchildren; 25 Great-Grandchildren; a Great-Great-Grandchild; three sisters, Patricia, Phyliss, and Betty; 4 brothers,  Robert, Jack, Ricky, and Jesse; and many nieces and nephews

John Williford and his family along with Cheryl Smith took care of Wayne after his wife passed.

Whitesell Funeral Home is serving the family.
