Wilburn William Fincher

Wilburn William Fincher, 80, of 2047 Ridgecrest Road, passed away, Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Mr. Fincher was born July 4, 1928 in Woodruff, SC a son of the late Clarence and Mary Jackson Fincher. He was a retired textile employee having worked for J.P. Stevens and Springs Industries and volunteered at the Salvation Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Florence Fincher. Surviving are three sons Larry E. Fincher and wife Donnis of Rock Hill, Michael W. Fincher and wife Janet of Catawba, and Bobby J. Fincher and wife Wanda of Rock Hill; a daughter Teressa Lynn Fincher Williams and husband Kevin of High Point, NC; two brothers Posey Fincher of Woodruff and Alvin Fincher of Greenville and one sister Lucille Smith of Spartanburg; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Saturday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Fincher will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Gary Adkins and Pastor Phillip Fuller officiating.
