William Herman Baldwin

Rock Hill – Mr. William Herman Baldwin, 96, of Rock Hill, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Baldwin was born in Bandy, Virginia and was a son of the late David G. Baldwin and Aletha Loni Tilley Baldwin. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Japan and Germany where he earned two medals for Army of Occupation Medal Japan and Army of Occupation Medal of Germany where he served as an Anti-Aircraft Crewman. He enjoyed working on cars, working outdoors, especially in his garden. He loved watching Westerns and his favorite actors were John Wayne and Audie Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Rasnake Baldwin; a brother, Roy Baldwin; and two sisters, Lois Baldwin White and Ethel Baldwin Vickers.
He is survived by his two sons, William David Baldwin of Rock Hill and Kenneth Lee Baldwin and wife, Tara of York; and grandchildren, Bethany and Hannah Baldwin.
A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2020, at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road, with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.
