William Thomas Birchfield

Rock Hill, SC - Mr. William Thomas Birchfield, 71, died Friday, January 6, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Riverside Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John W. Cabe officiating.

A native of Coffee County, Tenn., Mr. Birchfield was a son of the late Edmons Birchfield and Riverdell Hooper Birchfield. He was a member of Riverside Independent Baptist Church. He enjoyed doing word search books and watching games show on television. He was a caring man who always took care of his wife, Shelia. He worked for Package Products, J&K Cafeteria, and a security guard company.

Surviving are his wife, Shelia Taylor Birchfield; a son, Buddy Birchfield of Rock Hill, SC; a step-daughter, Karen Ricker of Blacksburg, SC; two brothers, Bill Birchfield and Jim Birchield both of Robbinsville, NC; two sisters, Mary Birchfield and Linda Faye Jones both of the Robbinsville, NC; five grandchildren and three pet birds. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Morris Lester Hathcock.
