William Donald Channell

Rock Hill – Mr. William Donald Channell, 76, died Thursday, June 02, 2016, at White Oak Manor – Rock Hill.

Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Whitesell Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Greene officiating. The family will receive friends 4:30 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Channell was a son of the late Horace O’Vincent Channell and Lillie Ann Campbell Knight. Mr. Channell loved the outdoors and going hunting and fishing. He enjoyed planting a garden every year. He loved to travel and his favorite place to go was the mountains. He also loved going to auctions. He was an excellent cook. He was a retired welder. He was a hard working family man who loved his children.

Surviving are two sons, Chad Channell (Shelley) and Kevin Channell; a daughter, Tara Sykes (Ryan); a brother, Charles Channell (Mary Agnes); two sisters, Mary Ellen Walker and Sylvia Ann Patterson (Robert); and two grandchildren, Kasey McCoy and Ryanne Sykes. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Marie Channell; and three brothers, Jerry Channell, David Channell and Floyd Channell.
