William Dunlap

William Robert "Buck" Dunlap, 93, of 146 Lake Pointe Drive, Fort Mill, SC, and formerly of 1141 Christopher Circle, Rock Hill, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Agape Senior. A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Dunlap was born March 8, 1916 a son of the late John James and Jessie Lillian Dunlap. He attended Winthrop Training School and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He was a retired manager from Wickes Lumber and Building Supply, a veteran of World War II (US Navy & Civil Air Patrol), a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a lifelong fan of UNC Tarheel athletic teams. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Sapoch Dunlap. Surviving are a son Bob Dunlap and his wife Terri of Ft. Mill; daughter Susan D. Bowden and husband Bill of Quincy, FL; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Dunlap will be held Friday at 11:00am at St. John's United Methodist Church with Reverend Ken Owens officiating. Entombment will be private at Grandview Memorial Park on S. Cherry Road. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
