William E. Clinton, 95, of Livonia, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. A devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. Predeceased by his daughter, Sharon Lambert, Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jean Clinton, Grandchildren: Lauryn (Andres) Trigueros, Ryan (Jurcic) Lewis, Great-Grandchildren: Zayn, Ava, Zohra, Andres Jr., and Great-Grand-Baby number 5, Son-In-Law: Tim Lambert, their loyal dog Lexi, along with extended family members and friends.
Bill had a distinguished career in Telecommunications, with his professional career beginning at Rochester Telephone Corporation in 1947. Over the years, he advanced through various roles, from cable splicer’s helper to Construction Manager. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army before returning to his career in 1952. Bill’s expertise in outside plant cable design, construction, and maintenance spanned decades, culminating in his work at ROTELCOM, where he was responsible for major projects, including the Buffalo/Chicago fiber optic cable route for RCI and the University of Rochester’s new telephone system. He will be remembered for his contributions to the field and his passion for engineering.
Outside of his professional life, Bill was a John Deere enthusiast and a car lover at heart. He took pride in his knowledge of cars and his beloved John Deere tractors.
He will be remembered for his sharp mind, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to his family. His memory and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Private Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 2nd at 11:00am at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill. SC.
