William Estes

ROCK HILL - William Thomas Estes Jr., 72, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, September 28, 2015.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Thursday, at Whitesell Funeral Home, with Pastor Lanny Hasty officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home.

Born in Rock Hill, William was the son of the late William Thomas Estes Sr. and Ethel McSwain Estes. He worked and lived his whole life in Rock Hill and was retired from Matthews Construction as well as the City of Rock Hill. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge # 385 and a Shriner. He loved building and driving his vintage hot rods and motorcycles with his sons, and won several trophies and awards at car shows and events all over the area. With all our hearts, he will be remembered always, for his love of family, his quick wit, and sense of humor and Godly devotion. He will be missed as husband, father and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia Estes; his son, Richard (Carolsue) Estes, of Fort Lawn, S.C.; stepdaughters; Delores (Donald) Thomas of Chester, S.C. and Rhonda (Terry) Banks of Fort Lawn, S.C.; and a stepson, Robert Whisonant, of Rock Hill.

William is preceded in death by his eldest son, William Michael Estes.
