William Eugene "Gene" Galloway

William Eugene "Gene" Galloway, 85, of Rock Hill, was peacefully reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife and family on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born September 18, 1932 in Florence, SC, son of the late Oscar Galloway and Ruby Lee Galloway McGee. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Mamie B. Galloway; father, William Dale McGee; son-in-law, Mark Thomas Munn; and brother, David L. McGee. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He worked as a retail store owner in Rock Hill and Laurens, SC and was a faithful member of Harvest Ministries. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Cheryl Cochrane of Rock Hill, Sandra Rivers of Columbia, Tom Galloway of Rock Hill, Tammy Munn Edwards and husband, Dean of Florence; daughter-in-law, Debbie Galloway of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Jaime Cochrane, Ashleigh Asper (Luke), Jessica Stewart (Adam), Meghan Clontz (Kent), Hunter Munn and Rayne Munn; great-grandchildren, Harrison, Kathryn, Annabelle, Kennen, Graham and Skylar; and sister, Dixie Galloway Logan of Lynchburg. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 PM, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 2:30 with Pastor Gary Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
