William P. Hufnagel

William P. Hufnagel, passed from this life on Monday, December 29th after a battle with cancer. Born in Detroit on Sept 13, 1927, graduated from Denby High School, served in the Merchant Marine in WWII, most recently living in Fort Mill, SC. Loved boating, golf, and playing guitar and banjo. Predeceased by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Marilyn (Millar) Hufnagel, in 1993. Survived by children Craig (Susan) Hufnagel and Jan (Larry) Schenk; grandchildren Scott (Tammy) Hufnagel, Jeff (Ali) Hufnagel, KimHufnagel (Brian) Oltman, and Jennifer Schenk (Nate) Collard and David Schenk; 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Will be missed by all. Memorial service at Light of Christ UMC in Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC at 2:00 on Sunday, Jan 4, 2015.
