William F. Johnson, Sr., 83, of 435 N Confederate Avenue, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. A native of Heath Springs, Mr. Johnson was born September 1, 1928 son of the late Howard Lee and Ethel Lee Cauthen Johnson. He was retired machinist and WWII Navy veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Scott Christopher Johnson and a brother Ray Cauthen Johnson. Surviving are his wife Barbara Gray Johnson; three children William F. "Skip" Johnson, Jr. of Kansas, Kim Johnson Shillinglaw of Catawba and Gary Yarnell Johnson of Cherryville, NC; also eight grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnson will be held Monday at 2:00pm at United Pentecostal Church, 2250 Fire Tower Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Corporate Director of Donor Development Shriners Hospitals for Children International Headquarters 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607
