William A. Livert ("Bill") of Fort Mill, SC, died peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, February 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Bill spent his formative years on Long Island, graduating from Oceanside High School. After enlisting in the Navy and serving in Viet Nam on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt, he graduated from the University of Florida with a business degree. After spending several years as a stockbroker on Wall Street, he transferred to Charlotte, NC, where he and his wife spent 45 years raising their family. They relocated to Fort Mill, SC, in 2022 and have enjoyed the vibrant and loving community of Four Seasons at Gold Hill, especially the friendships formed with the brave men and women of the Veterans Club.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Florence Livert, and his beloved Boxer/Lab mix, Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Raichle Livert, two children, Jon Livert of Belmont and Becca Zoller of Charlotte, and the true apples of his eye, his three grandsons, Max Livert, Eli and Miles Zoller.
His sharp wit and well-timed sense of humor will be missed by his family. He loved them with all his heart and soul.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's name to Pawsitive Action Service Dogs (Pawsitiveaction.org) or Pets for Vets (Petsforvets.com).
