William Montague Miller, age 54, beloved husband of Susan Lancaster Miller, adored father of daughters Ainsley Montague Miller, Caroline Carter Miller, Lauren Elizabeth Miller died November 1, 2021, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte NC.

William, son of Alfred Montague Miller and Lynthia Wofford Strong, was born in Augusta Georgia on December 30, 1966, attended Episcopal Day School, Augusta Prep and graduated from Presbyterian College where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity.

In addition to his parents, wife and children, William is survived by his brother, Stephen Mathews Miller, his step-parents Peggy Mays Miller and Dr. William B. Strong, his mother-in-law Dolores Fowler Lancaster, aunts Marie Anderson Miller, Myra Wofford Nation, uncle Wilfred Thomas Wofford, nephews Caleb Lee Poplin, Henry Lanier Miller, step-nephew Ben Pollard, step-sisters Beth Taber(Doug), Cathy Strong(Tara), Jean Frerich(Mark) Leigh Strong and numerous cousins and friends.

In Charlotte, he was a manager at both Cabela's and Lowes, and was the proud founder and CEO of Willies Hog Dust. His love of dogs was life long as was his love of the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an exemplary Chef, loved a fine cigar, and all things chocolate. Most of all, William will be remembered for the love and values that he instilled in his three daughters. By being stern but supportive, he instilled in them the principles of a good education, strong character, and family loyalty.

Funeral service is at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill SC 29708, at 2 pm Friday November 5th, with visitation afterwards.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family suggests that you adopt a pet from your local shelter or spend some quality time fishing with your family.
