William (Bill) O'Donnell,42, a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia moved onto his final resting place January 16, 2020 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Bill loved every moment of life as he courageously battled ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease for the last two years. He passed away with his family at his side.
Bill was born in Manassas, Virginia, February 2nd 1977 to William and Carol O'Donnell. As a teenager he participated in Taekwondo, Junior ROTC and played baseball at Stuart Field in Amissville, Virginia. He was a 1995 graduate of Culpeper County High School. Later, he worked for Dominion Construction and Post Properties/MMA.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa O'Donnell and his three children: Richard, Presley, and Keagan.
He is also survived by his siblings: Constance O'Donnell, Denise Scheerle (Jay), Donna Durbin (Tim), Jennifer Grigsby (Vincent), Catherine Medos (Craig), and Joseph O'Donnell (Beth); numerous nieces and nephews; and his trusty lap warmer, Caesar. Bill was met in heaven by his father, William O'Donnell.
A celebration of life will he held Sunday, January 26th, at The Life Church, 11234 Balls Ford Road at 4 pm in Manassas, Virginia. Bill requested this be a casual affair and wanted guests to wear heavy metal band t-shirts and jeans.
In lieu of flowers, various other ways of support for his wife and children would be welcomed as they begin life without him.
