William Wayne Richardson Sr

William Wayne Richardson, Sr of Fort Mill, South Carolina passed away on November 4, 2023 at the age of 83.

Wayne, better known to family and friends as “Big Wayne”, was born to Wesley and Ruby Richardson on June 29, 1940 in Kemp, Oklahoma.  He grew up in Oklahoma and Texas.  In 1959, Big Wayne joined the Army to serve his country.  After active-duty, he settled in the Carolinas with his wife, Nancy Allen.  Together they raised two sons: “Little Wayne” and Jamey.  Big Wayne loved life and shared his smile with everyone.  He had a unique laugh that always made others smile.  Big Wayne will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Big Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Ruby Richardson; his wife Nancy and his son Jamey.  He is survived by his son “Little Wayne” and wife Denese; daughter-in-law Terry Richardson; grandchildren Angela Ruff, Amber Richardson, Megan Richardson, Chase Crosby and wife Leah, and Vanessa Patch; grandson-in-law Aukeem Dwayne Ruff; great-grandsons Clayton Ruff and Aidan Crosby; along with extended family in Oklahoma and Texas.

A celebration of Big Wayne’s life will be held at the Moose Lodge in Fort Mill, SC on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 3:00pm.
