William James Robinson, 55, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed quietly with friends and family by his side on November 19th, 2021. Known as Jimmy by the ones that knew him best, Jimmy was born April 15th, 1966 and preceded in death by the late Mary Faye Robinson and William Joseph "Bill" Robinson of Fort Mill, South Carolina. Jimmy was raised in Fort Mill and attended Fort Mill High School where he was an active participant in the schools marching band.
Survived by his five sisters, Sandra Helms, Janice Stevenson, Susan Jackson and Shirley Broome (Tim Broome) all of Fort Mill, South Carolina and Patricia Shaver of North Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Robinson had two daughters, Crystal Weaver of York, South Carolina and Jessica Robinson of Summerville, South Carolina; three stepchildren, Kennedy, Peyton and Logan Pender, as well as three grandchildren, Kaleb Reames and Bryson Reames of York, South Carolina, and Nathan Kent of Summerville, South Carolina. He was blessed with many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as his lifelong best friend, Derrick Polk of Fort Mill, South Carolina and his girlfriend Robin Sauls of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Jimmy was an avid drummer and lover of music of all kinds. He loved football and was a dedicated Carolina Gamecocks and Miami Dolphins fan. As an outdoorsman, Jimmy enjoyed fishing, the occasional game of golf and soaking up the sun on the porch while enjoying the all the wildlife the world had to offer. He worked many years with the Town of Fort Mill in Sanitation before becoming disabled.
Services will be held at Whitesell funeral home at 6 PM on Monday November 22, 2021. Memorials should be send to Agape Care, located at 1326 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29732. Special thanks to the compassionate hospice team for all their words of support and prayers during this trying time. It has meant the world to the whole family and we would like to thank you for your professionalism and kindness during this time.
