Willie Mae Griffin

Mrs. Willie Mae Griffin, age 94 went to meet her lord and savior on Wednesday, June 21st 2017. She was born on July 4th 1922 Robbinsville, NC to the late Marcus Silvers and Delzie Willix Silvers.

Mrs. Griffin was a lifetime member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, she also enjoyed participating with the senior friends and her bible study group at Riverview Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, Mrs Griffin was avid reader, she enjoyed arts and crafts as well as tending her flower garden.

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Alex S. Griffin, and brothers, Fred Silvers, Vincent Silvers, Claude Silvers and Harvey Silvers, sisters Lilly Mae Poland and Onita Silvers.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her son Alex Griffin, Jr and wife Karen of Paducah, KY; Delsie Myers and husband Ray; James Griffin; Carolyn Ashworth and husband Kenny of Fort Mill; Cynthia Ludlam and husband Sam of Rock Hill and her sister Martharee Bowen of Belton, SC; nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 2 pm Saturday, June 24th 2017 at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill with Rev Becky Shirley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Palmetto Funeral Home
