Wylene Mclurkin Wylie

Wylene McLurkin Wylie, 80, of 1925 Wellborn Street, passed away Saturday December 27, 2008 at Piedmont Medical Center. Born in _Chester,South Carolina on October 20, 1928, to the late Samuel William and Eloise Wylie McLurkin, she was a Quality Manager retired from Celanese after 42 years of service. She was raised in Chester and was a member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, and a Graduate of Winthrop University. Aside from her parents, Mrs. Wylie was preceded in death by a brother Samuel W.B. McLurkin. She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Wylie of the home. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will take place Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jim Richardson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Thornwell Home for Children PO Box 60, Clinton, SC 29325, or Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
