Zaida De Leon

Zaida De Leon,72, of Rock Hill passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Zaida was born on November 16, 1946 in Santa Clara, Villa Clara, Cuba to the late Gerado Sanchez Yanes and Herminia Hernandez Sanchez. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Zaida enjoyed cooking and used her skills to bring her family together. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Carlos F. De Leon of the home, daughters Elenita Ruano of Rock Hill and Zaida Baez and husband Joe of Rock Hill; grandchildren Joel Rodriguez, Jovany Rodriguez, Yosvel Baez, Esly Baez, Cristal Ruano, Zaida Ruano and Carlos Ruano;seven great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.

A service to celebrate Zaida's life will be held on Monday January 21, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 20, 2019 from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill.
