Betty Jean Thompson

Betty Jean (Norsworthy) Thompson age 78 of Fort Mill, SC passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday, October 7, 2022.  Mrs. Thompson was born on November 8, 1943, in Limestone, ME to the late Warren and Pearl (Acheson) Norsworthy.  On September 15, 1962, she married her best friend, Phil Thompson in Gardiner, ME.  Later they moved to Billerica MA, where she spent most of her working career as a conference coordinator at Resource Information Systems, Inc. in nearby Bedford, MA.  In 2007, upon retirement, she moved to Fort Mill, SC to be closer to her grandchildren.  Attending as many of their activities as she could and participating in their everyday lives, brought her great joy.  In addition to spending time with her family, Betty also enjoyed bingo, water aerobics, Bunco, Bocce with her Four Seasons community in Fort Mill, traveling to the USVI with family and friends, cruises, trips to the casino and the occasional scratch off ticket.  Betty could always light up a room and brought so much love, laughter and wisdom to all that had the privilege to know her.
