Mike Wiles, 60, died at home in Indian Land, SC on September 21, 2022 from his battle with cancer. He was born January 13, 1962, in Howell, Michigan, the son of Michael Leroy Wiles and Karen Marie (McCumber) Kitson.
Mike graduated from Pinckney High School in Michigan, Class of 1980. In 1991, he married Tammy Elizabeth (Martin) Wiles in Las Vegas. They celebrated 31 years of marriage in July. Mike was a truck driver of almost thirty years for Lance/Campbell’s Snacks and was recently awarded his 2,000,000 miles safe driving club award. He enjoyed playing golf with his long-time buddies Steve, Wally, Gregg, Chris, and Tommy. On the weekends, he was known as “Picker Mike” at yard sales and estate sales. He was a lifelong Michigan football fan- Go Blue!
He was predeceased by his parents. Surviving in addition to his wife, Tammy Wiles, are his daughters, Victoria Wiles, of Denver, CO, and Raven Wiles; one sister, Elizabeth Williams and her husband, Slick, of Palatka, FL; mother-in-law, Cynthia Jolly, of Charlotte, NC; and their beloved family dog, Bella Wiles.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 2 p.m. at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29708, with visitation following. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Mike may make donations in his memory to Kindred Hospice Rock Hill. A special thank you to Susan Rodgers of Kindred Hospice for the care and support she gave in his final chapter.
