Steve [Stephen] Marchetti, 77 of Rock Hill, SC passed away on October 28th, doing what he loved, participating as a competitive cyclist at the South Carolina Senior Games.
He was married to his wonderful wife, Annette, for 54 years and had two children. His son Stefan, married to April Hennis, has three beautiful children: Parker, Eli, and Ruby. His daughter Melissa is married to Kevin Brown.
Steve was a graduate of Duquesne University and received a Master’s in Plant Physiology. His career focused on the nuclear industry, and he was a prominent leader for many projects around the world.
His passions were extensive and eccentric. Steve was a jack of all trades and a master of many. He was an avid gardener, farmer, pilot, beekeeper, world traveler, cyclist, cheese maker, food preserver, family historian, and always rooted for the underdog.
A mass to celebrate his life is planned for Saturday, November 19, 10:00 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1694 Bird Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
St Anne Church will not be excepting flowers.
